Placenta Encapsulation Services

Sarah offers placenta encapsulation services.  You can choose to have the processing done in your home, or use the pick up/drop off option.  There are benefits to each, but you can decide what works best for you!  There are a few steps that need to be taken depending on where you are giving birth to your baby.  Please get in touch with Sarah to talk over the process.  The fee for placenta encapsulation is $250 (includes pickup/drop off) and the fee is $300 if you would like it processed in your home.  Natural Baby Doulas clients receive a discount.  There are additional placenta services as well: pictures, cord keepsake, placenta print, smoothies, tinctures, and salves!  The placenta is just amazing!

 

Why do moms encapsulate and ingest their placentas?

Ingesting your placenta can be VERY beneficial to a mother adjusting to the physical and emotional demands of parenting a newborn as well as helping her heal from the birth, no matter the type of birth she experienced.  Although the research on placenta ingestion is very limited, there is a large amount of women who agree that it greatly benefited them during the postpartum period!  The primary benefits mothers notice while taking their placenta pills are:
